Climate

Wakasa-cho Kawachi-ku, where Yamaza-Kuma River is located, is located deep in a mountain valley at an altitude of 300m. The temperature is about 2 degrees lower than on the plains throughout the year, so we ask that you understand the environment and take precautions before visiting.

[For guests staying at tent sites]

Spring / The valley wind tends to be strong, and it may be difficult to set up a tarp on some days.
Summer / Because it is at a high altitude, the temperature drops at night and it becomes more comfortable, but there are also days when it is very hot during the day. There are few shady spaces at the tent site, so we recommend bringing a tarp.
Autumn / The weather is comfortable during the day, but at night the temperature is about 3 degrees lower than on the plains, so please take precautions against the cold, such as bringing a jacket.
